To further consolidate the integrity and compliance management responsibilities of overseas bases, guard against integrity risks in all links of production and operation, and reinforce disciplinary safeguards for the high-quality development of overseas projects, the Audit & Supervision Center recently carried out special supervision and inspection tours at Indonesia Huayue Company, the Weda Bay Pyrometallurgy Base and Weda Bay Hydrometallurgy Base in Indonesia. Meanwhile, multiple special training sessions on professional integrity were arranged. The Center promotes rectification through inspections and fosters integrity via training, effectively consolidating the ideological integrity defense line for overseas employees.

This supervision and inspection tour adopted a combination of one-on-one interviews, document review, on-site visits to production facilities, and verification of case clues. It investigated the implementation of work procedures, enforcement of internal policies, and risk prevention capabilities of core departments and key positions including production, warehousing, logistics, equipment management and administration, helping the bases plug loopholes against integrity risks.

During the inspection period, the working group delivered multiple special integrity training sessions targeting management cadres at team, section, department and corporate leadership levels, attracting nearly 500 participants. The training covered the Company’s integrity management systems and core integrity values. Combined with typical warning cases involving fraud and embezzlement at domestic and overseas projects, in-depth analysis was carried out to clearly define disciplinary red lines and behavioral boundaries. The training guided all participants to abandon complacent mindsets such as “oversight is looser overseas” and “minor misconduct does not matter”. It helped staff fully recognize the economic losses and reputational damage inflicted on the enterprise by improper benefit transfer and irregular operations, embedding integrity and compliance awareness deep into everyone’s minds.

The simultaneous rollout of inspection supervision and integrity education delivered dual effects. It identified risky links in base management while tightening the integrity “safety valve” at the ideological source. Going forward, the Audit & Supervision Center will continuously improve the long-term mechanism for overseas supervision. It will keep a close watch on key areas and core positions of overseas projects through supervision inspections and integrity outreach activities, consistently raise all employees’ awareness of honesty and integrity, and build a solid disciplinary barrier to support the high-quality operation of overseas bases.
