With brand-new heavy-duty portal cranes standing tall along the waterfront and operating at full capacity, the logistics access of the industrial park has achieved comprehensive upgrading. On May 22 local time, four 40-ton portal slewing cranes were officially commissioned at the IPK Terminal of Pomalaa Industrial Park (IPIP) developed by Huayou Cobalt in Indonesia. The launch marks full completion of civil construction works at IPK Terminal and ushers in a new phase of regular equipment operation. It delivers a leap forward in the port’s supporting capacity and logistics service capability, standing as a landmark breakthrough in the construction of Huayou’s overseas industrial park in Indonesia and laying solid logistics underpinnings for the company’s integrated full industrial chain layout abroad.

On May 23, outstanding young entrepreneur representatives from the China Young Entrepreneurs Association (CYEA) visited Huayou Holding Group for a study and exchange event. Song Zhiping, President of the China Listed Companies Association; Liu Gang, Secretary‑General of the China Young Entrepreneurs Association; Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou Holding Group; and other attendees joined the session. Young entrepreneurs from across the country gathered in Tongxiang to explore innovation paths and discuss industrial development strategies. The exchange meeting was presided over by Chen Xiaolin, Vice Chairwoman of Huayou Holding Group.

On May 19 (Harare local time), Huayou Cobalt, the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) of Zimbabwe, and Ningbo University of Technology gathered at the Harare Institute of Technology to formally sign a cooperation agreement, jointly witnessing the signing and unveiling ceremony of the China-Zimbabwe College of Engineering and Technology. This marks a key milestone for Huayou Cobalt and its partners in deepening collaboration and fostering development, as well as a landmark event for China and Zimbabwe in joining hands in vocational education. It injects new momentum into China–Africa integration of industry and education.

On May 21 (Zimbabwe time), Dr. Jorem Gambo, Special Advisor to the President of Zimbabwe and Head of the Government Project Supervision and Implementation Task Force, paid an official visit to Huayou Cobalt’s Zimbabwe Base for a dedicated inspection.

On May 15, the three-day CIBF 2026 drew to a close. As a global bellwether for the battery industry, this edition brought together 3,200 exhibitors and over 350,000 professional visitors, fostering in-depth discussions on technology, ecosystem and cooperation at the start of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period.

On May 10, the 2026 China Brand Value Evaluation Report was officially released in Deqing, Zhejiang. Hosted by the China Council for Brand Development and the Brand Office of Xinhua News Agency, and organized by China Brand magazine, the event saw Huayou Cobalt secure an outstanding brand value of 19.478 billion yuan and a brand strength index of 861, ranking 26th in the energy and chemical industry list—an upgrade of 2 places from last year. Its rising brand value underscores its status as an industry benchmark.
